2015 R12R LC - most farkled and back up for sale in corn country

2015 model R12R LC, with 3570 miles and counting. $13,300.

After my last effort to sell my awesome R12R fell through owing to a financing failure on the part of the prospective buyer, I pulled her off the market and enjoyed her for a few more months. Now I am ready to bite the bullet. She is immaculate, never laid down, always garaged, always hand-washed and hand-fed (no grains) and up for sale one last time! Asking $13,300 with all options and extras as listed below. Reason for selling? Look at the bike: it’s all done. I need a new project!

Premium and touring package:
heated grips
quick shifter up and down
electronic suspension
anti-lock brakes
Dynamic mode
cruise control
keyless ignition and gas cap
OEM rear rack and grab bars
OEM luggage racks (unused and not pictured but come with the bike)
BMW navigation mount

I am the first and only owner. 600 mile service done (basically std. oil change and driveshaft fluid change) and documented at BMW Motorcycles Iowa City. I have done one additional oil change since then, start of this season. Bike comes with standard seat and:

R&G Spindle Blanking Kit $49
MAchineArt MudSling $149
Knight Design Silver Anodized Quadtrax Footpegs $120
GPR Furore Homologated Black Muffler Slip-On $359
BMW OEM Windshield Bracket $60 (included, but not pictured)
Protective Anodized Frame Covers by Hornig $150
Z-Technik Sport Windscreen and brackets $350 (not pictured, but used only once and as good as new)
Wunderlich cylinder guards $350
Hornig machined oil cap $50
Custom spoilers $150
Reflective Rim Tape $22
Rear LED indicators ($75)
Tail tidy (I did myself – see build details on the forum)

Custom enamel pinstriping on tank and front fender done by my sister, a decorative commercial artist based in Dubai (to get a better idea of the quality of her work you can review her website at: Decorative Painting

No problems with the bike, ever. Smooth as silk, torquey as all get out. Always run on premium BP fuel (no ethanol added). Stock exhaust and foot pegs are included. You will notice the forks are covered in a black vinyl wrap; this is 3M removable vinyl in the event it displeases you). The air intakes too have removable vinyl covering; in this case 3M carbon-look vinyl. The vinyl is very durable and there is no sign of fading or peeling, in the event you like the look and want to keep it on). Tires are original and in good condition, still with chicken strips, a testament to how I ride. Rizoma Spy mirrors pictured below are NOT included and are not for sale separately. However, the very expensive Wunderlich cylinder guards pictured below ARE included.
Bike is located in Coralville, Iowa. Guest room on premises for fly-ins.
I have more pics I can email on request.

Questions, pm me. Thanks for considering. Asking $13,300.

If I didn't already own my '11 R1200R + '02 R1100S, I would be halfway to Coralville by now. I hope some lucky person within this site's cadre ends up with your beauty. Good luck!

Indio, sorry, want to keep it in hand to attract potential buyers, at least for now.

The only things missing are a cape and the wearing of its undies outside its tights. Awesome ride!! Good luck with the sale...which you'll later regret...

R12R Off the Market

She's no longer for sale, so sorry. Just cannot do it. I love her too much. Sure, I didn't get any serious offers in the short time she was back on the market. But I did get fevers at night, bouts of remorse. And then the news came--we are relocating to North Carolina. Wife and I went out for a visit to scout out possible neighborhoods to live in near Durham/Raleigh. And I knew she would be happy there, among the tall trees, hills and twisties; I knew this place was perfect for a naked bike. So she will come with us, with the furniture and the bicycles and all the rest, like some favorite pet whom one occasionally wants to put up for adoption wondering what life would look like without her. But no worries, my dear, it won't be soon and it may be never. Humbly yours, Motoprof.
