Yes. . .I'll have the dealer look at it on first service. . .but. . does anyone know of any replacement mirrors that don't use BMW's double-nut system of tightening?

Hi Guys.

I am fairly new to biking (3 months), and I am in love with my R1200R. A friend got me into biking and I bought a 2005 R1150R in January. 3 Weeks later, I saw a 2007 R1200R in brilliant condition and bought it. Sold the R1150R.
Then I decided to get what I wanted in the first place, and got a brand new Classic. Guess to say I have gone biking mad would be a bit of an understatement. :D
Looking forward to chat with like-minded people, i.e. R1200R lovers.

Cheers!

My Lovely R1200R will be almost one year old, and I have not put the key on a key chain ever.
I used to have an aluminum key chain for my previous bike but that scratched all around the key while riding.
In the not so intense search for a nice key chain that won't scratch my bike, I finally found one that's I think perfect.
And here it is.
What do you think?

I've owned many BMW's over the years, airhead and oilheads, and have over 300,000 BMW miles on the saddle, and this bike is by far the best bike I've ever owned. I bought it in '08 with 8,000 miles on it. I look forward to meeting fellow R1200R riders and sharing info.

I'd like to reset the MPG display when I fill up. The manual is not helping me learn to reset this function and I'm certain there is a way.

If you know how to do this, please let me know.

Also, I like to leave it on the TPM display, but it was auto resetting for total mileage. I suppose this is a program to remind you of a service interval. In my case it was the 600 mile first service and once I had it serviced, it stays on the TPM.

Is there a way to over ride this function too?
