Hey guys

I've already posted a couple of questions in the last fortnight but the brand new R1200R Exclusive just got delivered by the dealer so I thought it was time to say Hi properly.

I just traded an R1200GS LC and S1000R for the R1200R. I'm really hoping that the new bike is the perfect compromise between the two I traded in. On the test ride the R1200R had all the refinement and most of the comfort of the GS, with as much power as I need on the road. I actually felt I was faster in the bends on the R1200R than on my S1000R thanks to the seating position, plus I can now take a pillion which was a bit treacherous on the high GS and close to impossible on the S1000R.

On top of that, I got a few quid back from the dealer on the dealer, and my insurance company just refunded me another couple of hundred.

Just got to sit in the garage now applying 3M film, fitting the radiator guard and the MudSling and then out for the first ride!

In the right hands the Roadster is as fast as any sports bike with the advantage of being able to carry enough luggage for a week's road trip and be able to walk at the end of trip.
