I went to start my bike today and found that the red button was missing. The kill switch part is intact. Does anyone have experience with this, and is it a part that is easily replaced?
Many thanks in advance.

What model/year? Have you looked at any online OEM parts sites yet?

Hey rOckrat, the bike is a 2012 R1200R.
I called a dealer, and they said that the whole piece needed to be replaced.
$320. Was hoping that I could just replace the grey button.

I'd need to see a close up of a good button, but perhaps you can fabricate something?

Look at someplace like RealOEM.com, find the control switches. If it's a whole unit, try the recyclers like BeemerBoneyard.com.
