Recently sold my F650GS twin, and brought home the R1200R. Big thanks to Paul at Open Road (now Serpa) BMW who got me back on the road last summer after a 30+ year layoff. The R is great, and makes the daily downtown commute from Aurora something to look forward to.

I noticed few people switching from the F650GS to the R1200R,
Why didn't you get the GS instead of the R??? I'm guessing because most people never use the off road capability of the GS.
I always wanted a GS but 60% for the same reason and $40% for the so cool naked roadster looks, I went the R road. And I'm as happy as a fat kid on a cake shop.
