Hello new here,

I lost my keyfob a bit ago and now trying to get home. I used the back up one but while taking some rest, it suddenly stopped working. I legitimately cannot start the bike. Can I get immediate help? BMW says to bring the bike but I'm too far.

Thank you in advance guys.

@Bimbim - If it's a 2015+ with keyless, the antenna is under the back edge of the driver seat, try slipping the spare between the edges of the two seats and see if that helps...

Or under the rear fender, near the top center (from memory), may have to move it around a bit to link it with the antenna.

Cheers, Dave

Thank you both for the replies. When I do that, dashboard flashes red only once (very short) unlike if there's no key which would be multiple red flashes. I think it reads the key but doesn't recognize it. The single flash only responds to the antenna.

Very confusing.
