OK, look; I've only been riding a year, and my 1200r is about 2 months old. . .so if this is a stupid question, I apologize. . .My right mirror becomes loose and spins around frequently.

I have a windscreen that prevents me from winding the threaded post tighter by turning it physically, and am left trying to adjust the two nuts to keep it tight. . .which it just won't stay.

The only solution I've thought of is maybe to wind some electrical tape around the two nuts. . . anything else that anyone has done to keep the mirrors tight? My threads are fine, not stripped, just my patience. . . :)

Did that; used a wrench, etc., but they don't stay tight; after a minute or idle, it swings around. I've retightened it and wrapped the nuts with electrical tape. If anyone has any other ideas, other than taking off the windscreen and winding the thread back down, I'd be grateful.

Boy, that would be a real aggravating pain in the butt.
Can you loosen the nuts enough to put some
white Teflon tape like plumbers use on the post threads?
Perhaps a few drops of some blue LocTite to keep it from moving so easily.
Just brainstorming here. Hope it helps.
