After years of being a fair weather rider, I decided to take the plunge (no pun intended), and headed out in the drizzle and mist this morning. I know many of you are thinking - no big deal - but, it was a great first for me...:D

ps. after only 250 miles on my new R12R, and coming off an F800ST, I couldn't be happier!

Riding in heavy rain is much easier than riding in drizzle and mist. As long as you have 100% waterproof gear on riding in rain improves your skills because moves have to be smooth and precise. And recently we've all been getting plenty of practise.

The R12 is exceptional n the rain. I've ridden Chicago highways in pouring rain and the bike is rock stable. Get a FroggToggs ultra lightweight rainsuit and you are good to go.
