I had the thought that since my Zumo 660 would fit in the Navigator V/VI cradle, why not the other way around? Since my 660 cradle had a line out connection, maybe I could forego listening to music over Bluetooth.
I tried it, and indeed it powered up and I could hear button presses, but to access the media player, it needed a Bluetooth connection. I do wonder if I’d have heard music over the line out channel if it detected a Bluetooth outlet, but that’d require a redundant connection.
I really wish they left the line out dongle on the cradle.
