Just took delivery of my 90th Anniversary gem, complete with blazingly orange Shuberth C3 helmet. First ride home was in 40 degree weather...

I have owned 2 other bikes previously, a Honda VFR800 and a Harely Softtail, the first too hard to ride long distances, and the second too rough to ride long distances. I am 6'3" with a 36" inseam. The R1200R seems pretty close to the middle. Chose the R1200R over a Ducati Multistrada as the Ducati had cheesy electronic tack/speedo. I want to see the needles move.

First mod will be a taller/higher seat. Anyone with any leads on something like this let me know.

Thanks!

First of all, WELCOME!!
BMW makes a high comfort seat, but you are going to need something higher. You're a tall order. There are many excellent custom saddles for our bikes now.
Corbin, Sargent, Mayer, Rich's, etc. Sorry if I missed your favorite.
Suggest a Google search and reading some other rider's posts.
A kit to lower the footpegs may help. Highway pegs?

Congrats on the new bike. Best way to appreciate your new bike is in cold weather ;) Just remember to warm up those tires before leaning too aggressively. I hope she treats you well and you'll see what we all rave about now you have one.
