Hi All,

I recently purchased an R from my Dad. He got himself into a first edition R18 and sold me his R1200R. This is a second (better) bike and will be a daily rider. I also have a '98 R1100R that I love.

I will eventually have to change the seat. Dad installed the low one when he purchased it new. Below are pics of all of the bikes!

From Connecticut.

Welcome, nice looking bike :)

What screen do you have on the bike.

The windscreen is made by Puig. Honestly, it's not that great. It does a decent job with deflecting the wind, but it has a pretty terrible headlight reflection at night.

Welcome to the Forum Carterman. Appreciate the intro & pics. Does your dad have any more nice "cast offs" for the rest of us? ;)

Cheers, Dave

Hi Carterman: deja vu again here, in that I too had a 1997 R1100 R, my first 'big' bike and first of very many Boxer twins. But mine was in the Atlantis Blue colour (sort-of denim), and the red version is only very, very rarely seen here in Oz. Nice machine...

Enjoy the new R.
