Some sad news... this morning I had a persistent low beam CANBUS error with AuxitoH7 bulb. Bulb still works, but the error was popping in and out... It is quite distracting on R1250R TFT. It happened after a fairly spirited acceleration to speeds I would rather not discuss... I suspect that fan crapped-out from vibration, but I'll know more if I have time to check what the problem is over the weekend.

Thanks for the update, I have not installed mine yet and since I have my Clearwater aux lights installed, I don't really need these bulbs for night riding or conspicuity. I did like the idea of LED color matching though.
I am returning my bulbs to Amazon.

Perhaps this info should be reported to Auxito as a baseline data point to help them to establish the Mean Time Between Failure rate under "hooligan" conditions. :)

Will give mine a go once the weather improves to see if the fan failure was a fluke.

On the way home, no CANBUS error... it might have been a fluke of some kind in the bulb. For now I'm not touching it since it works and will report back if error comes back.

Had a similar fault with one of my Dynamic Motorrad turn signal led bulbs that was causing a similar issue with the light out warning.
Once I swapped it to another position on the bike, the fault went away. 😇

Sometime these things are just here to torture us. 🤞

I have the Dynamic Motorad turn signal bulbs and Auxito H7 headlight bulbs on my RS. So far no issues....fingers crossed. These are both good upgrades over the oem bulbs.

The old bulbs fit quite nicely into the foam padded box the LEDs came in. Think I'll keep them in my saddlebag for now. Also too cold here to give the LEDS a good test.
I did the same, just know that standard BMW tool set doesn't come with a correct size screwdriver to loosen the bulb retainer bracket.

Good point Fireman. I do always have one of these in my bag along with a small ratchet and the larger sockets. This little kit has gotten me out of many pickles, even in my shop. Very good for hard to reach places where a standard ratchet would never fit.

You shouldn’t need to loosen the screw, just rotate the bracket, although I found one high beam screw was a tad tight on the bracket. That size Torx driver is part of my maintenance set which is also my travelling tool kit.

Good to know. Thanks!

Didn't know that, good to know. I'll probably need to loosen mine next time though since I snugged them up pretty tight going back together. Hope next time is way in the future, We'll see. I have a cyclops large fan LED bulb in my 82 RT for a couple of years now with no issues.

Went for a decent ride yesterday and 45 minutes into it I got a bulb out error light. Stopped and started a couple of times and it would go away and eventually come back. Ride home was an hour on the highway and no bulb error lights. Appears to be on the threshold of triggering the fault.

What was the air temperature on our ride? I suspect the error happens when fan stops.
BTW: out of abundance of caution I’ve replace Auxito H7 the low beam bulb that gave me an error code with a brand new one. So far so good, but I haven’t been riding much since swapping the bulbs out.

I rode today for about 90 miles, temperatures ranging from 40F to 35F, no issues so far. I guess time will show how well this bulb holds up

With all these testimonials that seem to always end with "soooo close, but no cigar!", and clever chaps having to explore complex rigged hand-made solutions involving load resistors and heat sinks, you would think that some company out there would produce bulbs that actually work out-of-the-box (or that BMW would finally get the hint and update their cambus firmware with a selectable option for led headlamps).
