Just sold my 2006 ZX6R and was at a crossroads of what bike I wanted next. I sat on some Harley's and I test rode a victory Jackpot, which I thought was the bike I wanted. I quickly found out that I was not ready for a cruiser just yet. Started looking at streetfighter type bikes and quickly realized that it would be just like another sport bike. Then I was told to go check out BMW's. I took a 2007 R1200R out for a test ride and almost instantly knew that this was the bike I had to have. SOOOO much more comfortable to ride! The rest is history! I ended up getting a 2012 R1200R Classic and love it! :)

I'm definately a NEW bmw owner. I put about 330 miles of twisties and no freeways on it in 4 rides before I had to leave on deployment. I'm in the Navy. I'm up to 370 now. HUGE difference Hoshiko! I was a little timid at first shelling out this much money, but I wanted the boxer engine, not the rotax engine in the smaller ones. Plus I head that the police bikes get upwards of 150000 miles with no problems! So I figured why not, lets get it! Plus I wanted all the bells whistles I could get to have better resale value in the end if I ever end up getting rid of it. Only thing I couldn't get on it was the tire pressure monitoring system because of the spoke wheels. I'm super happy with my purchase and can't wait for the break in to be done. Varying the RPM is getting really old and killing my gas milage! LOL
