As a youth I spent most of my time shredding the Mojave Desert from Barstow to Vegas on Bultaco's to Husky's. Now's 40+ years later, I got the Beemer bug and acquired a '78 R100RS and a '84 R100RT. Both were in fantastic shape and are making great restoration platforms.

Anyway, I was at the dealer the other day picking up some parts for the RS and I just threw my leg over a R12R just for grins. Boy was that a mistake! I wound up coughing up a deposit on a 2013 90th Anniversary R1200R. Wasn't expecting that, but loved the sit so much, I couldn't help myself.

That's my story as to why I'm here on this forum. I hope to meet new friends and learn a lot along the way. Greetings from Area 51

Jeez, you must have Alien technology on your bikes. I went out there a few years ago as a tourist and the Army chased us away for miles. . . .

I made the same mistake twice. Once on the K1600 and then the R1200R.
