Hi all new to the forum. My 2007 R1200R came from the factory with out heated grips. My local dealer said that they
can be added on. I bit the bullet after 15 years of numb hands. New LH ,RH heated grips and switch housing assembly.
Installed them this morning, no issues plug and play I thought. Started the bike and turned them on and no heat?
I ran the bike at 2000rpm for ten minutes ,no heat? The battery is a brand new. Multi metered the grips and they are good.

Could it be software issue?
Any suggestions are welcome

Does that year have Canbus? If it does, maybe the grip option needs to be turned on with the computer.
If it isn't Canbus maybe the fuse is missing.

Yes 2007 has the Canbus. Sounds like a phone call to the BMW service is on order for Monday.

Went to the dealer and yes the option for heated grips had to be turned in the software.
