Hey y'all, new owner of 2008 r1200r. Bought it online and had it shipped (a little risky I know). It's great: Shad top case (not sure about that) but its got the heated hand grips, on-board computer, and the low seat (I'm a short people), tall parabellum windshield. Silver (light gray). I bought a set of side cases but that turned out to be a big mistake. I'll talk about that in a different section of the forum.

Yes friend, you ARE missing something. A helmet lock. BMW no longer installs one. (since 2007 ?) There are lots of options. A steel wire lock, aftermarket frame mount helmet locks, two locks built into the tag mount, a top case with a lock, side cases that lock, or a hook to hold the helmet that doesnt lock. You can do what I did, get a BMW helmet lock from an older bike, mine was an R1100R, and have the dealer key it to your newer Roadster. Works for me.

Amazing what the Clempedia contains! I personally use my passenger foot peg. If someone really wants to wear my helmet after I sweat in it all day, more power to them!!:death:

Welcome to the forum Griffi, how about them pictures?? Get used to it, we all require pictures, lots of pictures. :mob: and emoticons :2guns:
