Hello - just picked up a 2007 R1200R about 24hr ago. Rode it 170 miles from Pennsylvania yesterday evening, just keeping ahead of the thunderstorms - used it to motorpace a bicycle race this morning - took a break - now posting a hello to the forum.

Have been gaining some information in the forums for the past few months while I was looking for a moto, now sharing the one I eventually picked up (photo attached).

Image from this morning was at the Verrazano Narrows, entry to New York harbor. It is a color study in grays.

Looking forward to learning more about what I've gotten myself into!

You have exactly the same bike as mine down to the year, color and bags.

The R's are great all around bikes. Remove the bags for a daily around town ride. Put the bags on and you are ready for an extended trip.
