Hello all,
I returned to riding two years ago after many decades so I thought I'd test the waters with an old, cheaper machine. I'd ridden only Japanese machines before but aspired to a BMW- finally got hold of a 2011 ex-police R1200RT that had been through a few hands and 93k but had a complete maintenance history.
I'd thought that this would be a stepping stone if I really got back into riding but after 30k I'm in love with this bike- it's so reliable and fun to ride. I do a lot of longer rides with a pillion and I love how much grunt it has, how well it handles with a passenger and luggage.
