Looks like Mr. Mouse decided to move in. Not sure how long he had been sleeping in my air filter. I think he had taken a few rides with me. The worst part was the smell! He must of gotten in through the intakes. Gone now!

Put out some glue traps with peanut butter. I have no issues with rodents in the garage, but I had to put the pickup truck in the garage when a family of field mice made a nest in the AC system.

I check the air box every spring when taking the bikes out of winter hibernation. I also store the bikes without their seats as mice also like to nest under them too.

You can also just stuff rags into the intake holes. Leave enough hanging out so you don't forget to remove them.

Had one get under the tank on my 790. It chewed through both coil packs and some other wires. I was able to solder some but had to buy new coil packs. Bike was in my shop. BMW is in my garage!

Nope. Before I had a garage I stored many bikes in the house, even rebuilt a few indoors, dining room table is just the right height for an engine build.

Get cotton balls and soak them in peppermint oil. Mice hate peppermint! A family ate through all but 3 wires on my RV's electrical harness. $$$$
