Hi All,
I have ordered an oil radiator guard. Thought it may be a good idea to protect from rubbish being thrown up and causing damage.

Isn`t it funny just how you think of things after the money is spent.

I now wonder just how much this guard may inhibit the air flow and restrict / reduce the cooling effect in suburban traffic.

Any thoughts ???
Best regards
John

Smaller mesh, Better protection, but the more restrictive it becomes. It's a trade-off. A fender-extender may also be worth consideration IF you're worried about damage. Just sayin'.

I would add that, depending on your normal driving circumstances and climate, it may be a realtively minor issue. Lots of stop and go commuting in a warmer climate, I'd be real careful before installing anything let alone too fine of a mesh. Otherwise, probably not too much of an issue as lond as your moving along at a good clip. That said, I think I'll explore the looks of the extension first and see if I can live with it.
