I have a Rick Mayer seat that came with my 2007 when I bought it used. I attach a few photos for review. Does anyone know if this is an OEM seat pan?

Just looked up Purplast and it came up in a post about an F800 stock seat.

I would say probably yes, as that's the spittin' image of my stock '09 R12R seat pan.

Cheers, Dave

Looks like a BMW part number embossed in the bottom. You could check correlation on an online parts fiche.

The two Rick Mayer seats I bought from him were both built on OEM seat pan. He was a strange dude with lots of complaints about his business practices, but if you managed to get a seat out of him, they were well-made and comfy.

I have owned 4 superb Rick Mayer Saddles and to my knowledge he only built on OEM seat pans. I only wish there could be a #5 in my future.
