@RC65 - have you done the North Cascades loop yet? It'd be a long day, but SR 20 east to Twisp, south to Wenatchee, then back on 2.
Have meant to for the last twelve years (after coming back to riding after a decade away), but have not yet. It's a ride I keep telling myself I need to do, but every time I get serious about doing it something seems to come up that keeps me from carving out that chunk of serious time. But I need to do it...thanks for the reminder.

I did the Black Stump Way for the first time last Xmas on my annual Melbourne to Tamworth run, also via Canowindra-Molong-Wellington-Dunedo, not a bad ride. I did that as a change from going through Bylong which with each year has become more chopped up. Have you ridden Goolma Rd from Wellington to Gulgong? That looks like another option as I will look to try a few more deviations.

I haven't travelled the Goolma Road between Gulgong and Wellington in years. I believe it's been recently upgraded. I recall lots of Roos out we'll before dusk hopping about.

On the weekend I came across this regional hotel - Boggabilla, NSW a few K from the QLD border. I guess the owners have a sense of humour.

Last official picture of the riding season...look forward to taking others in five or six months.

I really like that color.

My dealer had a new one in that color was going to get it until the brown metallic one showed up used with 2500 miles on it. Winter is around the corner for sure. Too dark in the mornings for me to commute to work too many deer out and about. I figure I have a couple of months before it's not enjoyable to spend a day off riding with cold weather/snow/rain..

Thanks. I must admit, I'm a fan of my Pollux Metallic Matte, but all the variant 1250s are sharp-looking bikes! I wasn't too sure of the Pollux at first as it's my first matte finish, but the classic dark green color pushed me over the edge at purchase time, and the matte finish has really grown on me over the last couple of years. I was going back and forth between them all (though the metallic brown wasn't being offered by my dealer at the time, just the HP/white, the gloss black, and the Pollux), but I'm glad I made the decision I did.

And, yeah, while we are having a nice Fall here in WA State, I know the cold, wet, gray Winter is just around the corner (and overdue), making the next five or six month a waiting game.

Under I-26 in the mountains along the Tennessee / North Carolina border. I just thought it was a nice picture somehow (it was a good ride too).

Cheers! Dave (riding more and worrying less)

Overnight and breakfast stop in Morgantown WV (July 2020) on the way to NC.

Luckily we avoided the storm that was heading our way.

A couple of my 1st gen R on the way to High Peak during the summer. First photo is from when the Sat Nav failed and got me lost somewhere near Church Stretton. The second is when I'd just entered the Peak District and desperately needed to stop for a biological break! The last photo is when I finally landed at my digs for the week in Chapel en le Frith.

Apart from a dodgy navigation device which sent me everywhere apart from where I needed to be, it was a great week away. The bike never seems to miss a beat, for an old higher miler, it always seems to do very well.
