I recently made an interesting discovery regarding the effect of the mirrors on helmet buffeting. See this post.
Works OK on my Windows laptop and iPad. Maybe it's a Tapatalk thing.Sounds interesting!
The link is dead, however. :-(

I'd very much like to put the front blanking plate from the new R1250R model instead of the mentioned 10$ piece, it's kind a of a cool looking scop with the "R" etched on. Do you guys reckon it could mount on the 2018 model?
(the 10$ piece for r1200r plate kind of looks like the middle finger, hence the thought)
You’d need to replace the alloy instrument mounting bracket too, and I suspect you’d run into significant problems with compatibility with the 1200’s instrument panel.I'd very much like to put the front blanking plate from the new R1250R model instead of the mentioned 10$ piece, it's kind a of a cool looking scop with the "R" etched on. Is that the 20” or 24” screen. How tall are you/do you see through the screen or over it? Thx.I bought mine with the tiny "touring windscreen". I now have a ZTechnik touring screen which provides a nice, quiet ride. Check out the silly picture!
The cowl I linked is an aftermarket carbon version of the standard product for the 1200-LC - Cockpit Trim Panel, Windshield Pure.Aftermarket cowls are not really my cup of tea, I'd rather stick to OEM looks (and I like like visual updates on the Shiftcam model) . My bike came with the touring screen ... i'll probably go for the 10$ plate for daily riding and pop the screen back for longer highway rides.
Where did you order it?That cover plate to fill the space behind the instrument panel on my 2015 R1200R cost me $10USD.
