After 3.5 years and 5 different screens, I finally found a solution that really works for me.
It wasn't very cheap, though!

I believe I will be following your example - test ride an RS a few days ago and liked it.

I found the steering/handling a little different as some have described, not so much slower as more deliberate.

With a Ducati, you just think of going round a curve and the bike simply goes;. The R wasn't very far off that (but no Duc) and the RS a step further. Not a bad thing, just different.

Too early to read all 7 pages of post so this might have been mentioned already. First, Madstad makes nice fairings. At times, maybe in the past, they did/made double fairings. One smaller inner one and then one mounted on top of that one that was taller. It solved the rolling wind effect and lifted the air flow higher so it goes over the top on a helmet.

Second, I am old and not at the house presently, a company makes some rubber curved trim material that you can afix to a windscreen, this in effect expands the envelope of still air behind the windscreen which likewise forces the air above and over your helmet so you do not feel turbulence. Great stuff and highly recommended. Will try to recall the name of the brand or at least post a photo later.

For all the riders that don’t want a large windscreen in front of them, taking into account to options above…well then I got nothing lol. Save for maybe a bmw s cafe fairing…maybe that gets enough wind blast off the chest yet allows for the helmet to not be tossed around much by the wind effects due to using the low bars (sort of forcing you to sit down at an angle into the wind).

Sounds like Saeng edging.

I actually tried this long ago on a K75S with an Aeroflow windscreen, but it didn't help. Still, I have no doubt it has helped others in different applications, and is worth a shot, not too expensive, pretty easy to install & remove.

Best, Dave
