Lately my R1200r takes several miles to reach the 9000 rpm redline. It stops at 8000 seeming to indicate that the engine is not quite fully warmed up. Operating temperature seems normal. I'm wondering if anyone has seen this. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but who knows.

Mine is the same, takes a few miles to come up to temp but as I don't go above 5k much it's never bothered me.

I checked mine a few days ago whilst on tour but didn't stop to make notes so the memory is pretty rusty as to the actual numbers. I recall the redline increases in steps at round multiples of 5℃ of engine temperatures, with full redline achieved at 80℃ (176℉). Your engine should be running about 81-83℃ when fully warmed.
