I have a 2016 R1200 RS with Wunderlich flat bars, engine guards, aftermarket wind screen and wind deflectors, hard bags, Hornig folding highway pegs/foot rests and a custom hand formed seat. I live in Colorado and have taken several 1000 mile plus trips this summer. 2 up and solo. (My friend has a similar set up on his 2020 R1250RS.) For us the RS makes an agile sport tourer without the heft of the RT and much more protection that the R. View attachment 116442
That looks like the perfect solution. Keeping it in mind for next time. Sweet bike.

It was never intended as a sports bike in the first place, so I think your mods are spot on.

What screen/deflector did you go with? Looks like AeroFlow, but which version ands how high?

I'm 5-10, and waiting for my Wunderlich bars to come in before changing much else, although all the toys off my 1250R bolted straight on, including the rear shock.

I know a diff screen will be required, so the search has already started...
