hi all
quick question , anyone got a stone guard over the oil cooler?
ten weeks of ownership and already have 2 dings in the oil cooler rad , the bike has a extended front mudguard , can only think that other cars in front have flicked them up , i do not get to close to them, one ding is i the fins and the other is in the core .lucky for me its not made a hole in it . seen some fine mesh in a store few days back and thought this would do if i can find a way of attaching .
anyone have any ideas ?????

OK
Post your photos for us, please.
I never gave the oil coolers a second thought with my R1100R.
They were up high above the cylinders.
The new R1200R cooler is right down there behind the front wheel.
Mmmm..... Some Concern.

Oops.
That Touratech was 49EUR instead of 41.
Guess I had better get my glasses on

mesh

hi clem
thanks again for giving me a few ideas, this morning went to a industrial window and roof company and found the ideal thing, whoop whoop , the gave me a choise of mesh , metal or heat type plastic mesh can withstand heat up to 500f, . i bought two 8ft by 6ft sheets ,thats the size they come in . (THATS WHAT I WAS TOLD). one black and one champagne to use on another bike i have ,whoop :) job done i just placed inside the cover, think i will attach the weekend with either silicone or cable ties, it did not fall out today , done 50 miles and it has not fell out . so now i have enough to do a car rad and oil cooler and still have enough to pass on if anyone interested , i will cut to size and post worldwide .
10 dollars should be enough or £6 uk pounds ,post on top. that will cover my expenditure , would not like to think about a rad repair or a new one .
anyone interested please pm me as i have enough left to do about 12 rads once i have done my other bikes .
