Stop n Go tire plugger

Once again my Stop n Go tire plugger kit has been put into use. I cannot recommend it enough. Easy to use, compact and effective. The repairs are supposed to be only temporary but the last one I did I kept in until the tyre wore out, about 2000 miles.

Carry mine with me everyhwhere I ride. Has saved me twice on the roadside and countless "oh ****" moments discovering nails in the tire in the garage...:10::iagree:
Which set do you use?

I've had mine so long (about 10 years) that i can't remember. I know it's a kit that came with the plug gun, rubber mushroom plugs, a reamer tool and all in a nice heavy vinyl pouch.

Glad to hear some opinions about it on here. Was thinking of getting this set: TUBELESS PUNCTURE PILOT for Motorcycles, Scootters, & ATV's - Stop & Go International Inc Store

The other option I considered was the one with the CO2 canisters. But I think I prefer having an actual "mini air pump" for full inflation, even if it might take for ever...
I'm sure most sets are similar but this is what I use

I also bought to compact Slim mini compressor but can't find one on fleabay at the moment.

Thought the one you linked was expensive but realise it includes the compressor so makes it better value.

my only issue with the kit is that I would like to know how well the compressor works.. it looks small enough to fit somewhere on the bike (hoping under the seat), but would like to hear from other people how well it works.

Is that the compressor you have?

1 option: As you know, the electric pumps pull too much power to be used in the accessory plug. Needs an optional fuse panel. Advantage is small size, but moves only a small amount of air. Could weaken/kill battery in winter. Just for your information, BMW makes a Mini foot pump. Nippy Normans sells one, too. Three-four minutes to pump up a tire, about the same. It's Larger.

Thanks Clem! Did not know really look into a foot pump before.. thought they would be too big ... the link for the OEM one does not have any size indicated, will try to find that, the other one does and it seems very doable!

more to think about now :)

+1 on the stop n go plug kit. Saved me in somewhere middle mississippi one night. Never leave home without it.
My back tyre seems to be a nail magnet. One more puncture fixed. At the risk of being boring I cannot recommend this kit enough.
Any kits available to plug the tubed tubeless tires on the Classics?
P&G saved me once (nail); and one time I pulled a long canine(?) tooth out of a Harley-guys tire up around Mystic, CT on I-95 and used P&G. Excellent with a few large CO2 cartridges.
drDave, not sure about tubes. One of the main advantages of the stop n go plugs is it's all done without removing the wheel or tyre, something I guess you can't do with a tubed tyre. :001_unsure:
Touch wood - never had to use it, but I carry two (2) of the 'Keiti' brand sets under the seat - EVERYWHERE! Each contains 3 x CO2 canisters plus all the other bits, in a neat stout nylon pouch with Velcro closure.

I also carry a larger 'reamer' as I figure that could be a bit of a chore with the small one in the kit, plus a pair of pliers to remove the offending nail, screw, whatever - I doubt I could pull it out with bare fingers!

Hi all,
+1 for the Stop n Go. I bought the pistol style and my brother presented the opportunity to give it a try, on his car tyre.
SSSooooo easy to use, although the reamer gets a workout with the wire braiding in the tyre.
I purchased a small foot pump as I wasn`t happy to carry 5/6 small gas cylinders or load up the battery unnecessarily.
I am undecided on the foot pump.
Regards John
any one have any exp. with it....good or bad.

Paul
I always carry 2 x small 'Keiti' brand kits under the seat, but touch wood have never had to use one. BUT - reflecting about the possibility one day I did add into one of the kits a small pair of pinchers/ pincers/ pliers, figuring that if a nail or screw embedded itself into the tyre as the cause of the puncture, I'd almost certainly not be able to pull it out just with my bare fingers.
