Hi, I have a 2017 R1200R that has the standard rear rack only and I want to get a top box and panniers that will fit. Local to Leicestershire if possible!

Shad has panniers that will fit. If your bike doesn't have the factory bag mounts, you'll have to use the Shad specific mounts.

Those Shad side cases look good. Similar look and shape to my Givi side cases, but the Shad cases in that link have a very cool "paint job". Price of the mounting rack looks good too.
I've been using the same SHAD panniers for 6 years now, previously on my MT-10 and now on my R1250R.
They are well built, easy to use and stay on at speed

My r1200r has the factory side case mounting bracket... but no side cases. Does anyone know if the Shad cases will fit on the factory mount? Or would I need to replace the mount with the Shad system?
The SHAD ones won't fit the standard BMW mounts, I got a new kit from SHAD to fit mine
They will not. Although Shad manufactures the BMW cases, the BMW mount seems to be proprietary.
You would. The BMW mounts are a lot more elegant, but the Shad mount is better looking than some others.
After having had hard cases and rails on my 1100s and a full set of Vario boxes on my GS and used them much less than anticipated I have for the R decided to just get a Givi 47lt top box to keep my wife happy and if I need extra to use a set of soft throw overs that have been in my garage for 15 or so years. We’ll see.
