Where did you go today on your Roadster?

Night Touring

My night touring partner rode his R100RS. Destination was about three hours by expressway and half an hour on the twisty mountain backroads.

Sorry the bike photo is too dark. The cherry tree looks great by day.

It takes on a different atmosphere by night.

Some hot noodles and green tea make the cold ride home bearable.

Pics

Hey Clemson,
I thought that link was going to be Roadster photos, or at least mountain scenery with a Roadster in the frame.
Boy, was I ever let down. :clown: Don't do that to me, please. My old ticker can't take that kind of shock. :grin2:
We all love BMW photos. Boxer photos. Roadster photos. Girls on BMW photos. :wink2:
Glad your weather was so nice, and you were able to log some happy miles.
Here is my Roadster ready for winter expeditions. My friend on his grey R100.

Not pretty or sexy, but good for all day in cold weather.

Did 4 hours riding in -2 to +4*C light snow flurries.
ABS full function check...all OK (saved me at a police radar trap)
Ride More.......Worry Less !

Kea stew

:funnypost: Rest with one eye open, Lawrence.
Animal rights watchdogs are coming for us as we sleep.
Rock Duck? Your Grandfather had it. I'm sure that is also probably politically incorrect now.
Thanks for the humor guys. Yes. I am twisted.

Well Farkled

You seem to have the Dark White on course to being well sorted.
Seat, screen, shock.
Get rid of those hideous magnesium valve covers with some decent CHROME !!!
You'll be really happy chappy. :grin2:

Hang in There, Mike!

Sorry your ride turned out like that,
but we're glad you are all right, Mike. That's important.
Vehicle's rear window vision also looks pretty well obscured, too.
Your Go Pro documentation seems to be priceless,
considering the tacking approach of the other parties.
Suggest you need not share the video just yet.
Hope the body aches heal quickly,& bike repairs go smoothly.
Enjoy your ride reviews and commentary.
Oh, didn't realize the 9 kph photo was the fallen bike.
Thought upside down pic was just another Oz thing. :grin2:

Could you repeat that ?

Erin,
Dear lady, Can't help but feel my leg is (AGAIN ) being pulled. :laugh2:
You and the Dark White Classic have done it again !!
Happy trails as you round the N. island. 0:)

Mad Dash

Took the Roadster out very early Sunday morning in order to cross the city marathon routes which would be closed off before 7.
All the police bikes were lined up like the Imperial Navy.
Ambulance, fire crews, EMTs with rapid response gear. Quite a show.
Even the Lord Mayor himself was out stumping on the corner.
It occurred to me, as I hurriedly made my way West, there were NO Police or traffic cops to be found.
Their small outposts were deserted. Not a black-'n-White in sight.
Could it be the magical PASS GO and Collect $200 / Get Out of Jail FREE day ???
My speed grew as the adrenaline rushed, and the Boxer was soon emitting a very happy note, also.
Other bikers waved their hands, even their arms, signaling the gates were open ahead.
Passing more timid riders on sport bikes, and finally chasing down a Busa & ZX-14.
Sports cars were shown no special respect this morning.
Two hours passed quickly as I neared my destination without a siren or lights.
Once in a blue moon, if you rise early, there is a free-for-all. Can't wait until next February's marathon.

@ Scrivens
That parched earth would spell dire straights for ranchers and farmers.
More like Mars landscape in some NASA CGI film.

Tell a Story

Your photos tell a graphic story Panzer.:goodjob:
Grain. Texture. Detail. :coolpics:
The Honda 4 theme? Hmmm........interesting.
Yes, recall that bike changed my world forever.
What were the rest of you inmates doing in '69 ?:grin2:

Honey........

Les of Suburbia........"jeez" do i have to explain every nuance of humour?

Erin,
You should first explain it to Honey.:grin2: Quite a clever he/she canine.
Then Honey will break it down for Les in byte-sized bits he can handle.
Les has trouble with the whole nugget all at once.
**Erin and I propose taking up donations to get a tracking device,
should Les become disoriented in Suburbia. **

4400

That's a lot of distance to cover, Lawrence.
Hope the weather holds good for the entire trip,
and you find a comfortable bed every night.
Prawns and trout? Wish I were tagging along for that.
Lying on a grassy hill or enjoying the historical sights.
Like the captain, Endeavour and persevere.
Can't wait to read your colorful perspectives on the journey.
Just two more sleeps, and you're off.

It's all Mike's fault

Yes, Seems to be so. :grin2:
But Mike's photos are absolutely great. :goodjob:
Coffee, lattes, scrumptious vegan foods.
Even that darn cat Garfield. Or was it Nigel?
Lawrence, the OP , is off somewhere trying to save
yet another Aborigine language from disappearing. >:)
His Yamaha Tracer ride report is yet to be delivered.:|
And that other bloke who posts a heap of Tuning Fork stuff.........
can't recall his name offhand, :laugh2:
but how delicious can one make a broken compression release seem? :whatdoyouthink:
