I took the R over to Springfield Indian today and bought a set of tires, with a 2022 V85TT spooned into them.
...
I loved the R, and the power delivery was incomparable, but even 2" lowered pegs and the custom +1.25 saddle eventually weren't enough.
Nice bike! I thought Guzzí's are usually the least ergonomical for larger people, because they are smaller.
How tall are you?

I'm 6'4" and some Guzzis are cramped, the 1998 Daytona I first lusted after would probably elicit confessions from me now. A California or Eldorado are super laid back, the V85TT with its adventure styling and high seat has more forward pegs, and I feel my knees are close to the position I had on my R after mods. So high saddle and lowered pegs again and I should be all set. The bars seem too high and far back too, but I'm going to try them for a while.
