I've heard pretty bad stories about that hex head coming off and seperating from the filter. But then again, you don't need to put much torque on the filter so I don't see how that's an issue. I could be wrong though. I'll stick with my Mann filters. Filter wrench was about $30 iirc. $30 tool is worth the investment for a ~$9k motorcycle, imo.

Yup, I paid $30.00 for a Max R1200R oil filter wrench. Seems worth it to me. I guess I'll find out when I go to change the oil! :)
