Coming back to the boxer from previously owning the 2009, R1200R, and now on a brand new 2024 R1250R which has a more of a lean to the bars. The R1200R I could ride all day in comfort, but this R1250R after 2 hours I'm looking for a stop. If this new R1300R is of a more lean to the bars, then I suppose it will not be to welcome from older riders such as myself. I like my new R1250R for spirited riding but I feel the R1200R I had I could throw it around a lot better, I'll have to look back on the tech data to see if it was lighter. I thought this R1300R was suppose to be 10kg lighter but fully fuelled is the same wet weight at 237kg. It looks like you have to order the lighter wheels for any weight savings. Once the bike is on offer for a test ride I'm going to ride it for comparisons.
Wunderlich bar risers 25 up and 20 back made a huge difference for me. Spendy but an absolute game changer on my 2020R. Cheap knockoffs on Amazon but l refuse to support PRC made. Cheers

l’m 173 cm and the stock bars on my 1250R gave me back pain (68 yo). Perfect fix was Wunderlich bar risers 20 mm taller and 25 mm back. I’d love to buy an 1300R but with even lower bars than the 1250R looks like l’ll wait to see if anyone brings out a suitable bar riser set.

A bike’s look doesn’t bother me much but l do like the look of the red and black with the option 719 edged polished wheels.

cheers, Glenn
