This has happened about 3-4 times on my 2020 r1250 - usually after it’s sat in the garage for 3-4 weeks . Starts as usual first touch of the button but couple of seconds after it stutters but clears if you give it a quick blip - nothing for me to be concerned about but happening enough for it to be getting my attention , always using super unleaded and bike is stored in a dry garage / covered up . Has anyone had this - lastly only ever hand wash my bike - bike has now covered 9500 miles

Could be induced by Euro5 compliance - trying to go as lean as possible on cold starts.
If there’s smoke (presumably black) that’s partially burnt fuel.
I’d think it unlikely it would be the flapper valve sticking as, on the 1200LC at least, it is at its maximum closure at idle, opening progressively to fully open at 2500rpm. On key-on, you should be able to hear it cycle.
Could it possibly be a decompressor lever sticking?
You’d still be under warranty so it would be worth discussing with your dealer.

Could be. Change your technique and see how it goes.
My scariest pillion ride ever was on just one of these. I was holding onto the rear grab rail, as we accelerated flat out through the first three or four gears with the front wheel way up in the air. Felt like the bike was vertical. Thought I was going to die …
