Hi All from Australia. I'm looking at using my iPhone 14 Pro on the BMW Connected Ride Cradle. I've been waiting to see if anyone has had their phone/camera damaged using this? It's been widely reported as I guess we all know, that Apple have warned engine vibration may damage the iPhone camera. I'd be grateful for any feedback from long to medium term users. Thank you!

Yes my iPhone 12 Pro was fine on an ALI High mount until I did 600 miles in the heat. Now knackered camera.
I recently tried this unit https://store.ricoel.com/product/apple-carplay-display-motorcycley/. Option 3 includes a mount for the BMW Nav prep cradle. Pretty impressed (after fiddling with a firmware which they provide on their website). Seems to do the job. Keep your phone safe and sound in your pocket or tank bag and run Carplay/Android Auto. Scenic (iPhone) or My Route App (cross platform) work pretty well in CarPlay (can't speak for Android). At only $150 shipped it's cheap and effective. Only downsides, so far, is that it doesn't work with the whiz wheel and all eggs are in the smartphone basket. If your phone craps out on a long trip or someone tries to hack your iCloud account and locks you into recovery (ask me how I know this one) it can be less than ideal. There is some wisdom to having perhaps a fall back plan. Since I already own a Garmin XT AND a full QuadLock wireless/vibe killer + Wunderlinq and this CarPlay thing, I am in the thinking about what I want to keep vs sell mode.

Yes...they have a model with the BMW plate. Snap into the Nav prep and go.
