R1250RT 2022 wireless phone charger issues

I’ve been having issues with my wireless phone charger in the right side compartment of my 2022 1250 RT.

Anybody else has issues with it?

The issue I’m experiencing is the wireless charging starts and then five seconds later it stops, and about 10 seconds later it restarts and then it goes in and out every few seconds.
I’m using iPhone 13 Pro.

I have a friend with a 2021 RT. I asked him and he said it works but its finicky with cases, placement and whatnot. To be fair, he rocks an iPhone 12 Pro Max and it barely fits. His solution was to install a Quadlock, vibe killer and wireless charging head. The cell phone box on the RT was not all that well thought out.

I doubt the RT’s charger doesn’t work with the iPhone, the most popular phones around.

I’d bet it’s an alignment issue or the charger is defective. Once you start wirelessly charging, the phone needs to remain aligned with the charging coil, ideally perfectly centered for max charging efficiency. I’m not sure if the RT has some way of keeping the phone in place and always aligned, but I’d check that. If necessary play with some kind of spacers. Else go to the dealer and try another RT. I’m assuming your phone wirelessly charges normally with other chargers and isn’t itself the problem.

I have a 2022 R1250RT and am having exactly the same issue. I changed from an iPhone X last week to a 14pro. The X charged with no issues but the 14pro does not. I wonder if it is because the camera protrudes from the back of the phone and so therefore doesn't sit flush on the base of the charging area. Not sure what the solution is other than to use a cable, as suggested.

yes, I have a “normal” size I Phone 14. It fits into the compartment but the wireless charging is sketchy. I end up using the UPS port and a charging cable. The issue I’ve been having though is that I have to put the phone in so the charging port is on the outside and it bends the cable in a bad way, so I end up going through cables like they’re going out of style.

You doubt because you've never tried. I on the other hand tried everything that I could imagine and it still had the same effects of not charging and even worse, discharging faster if it was inside that compartment.
